We had Fun in My Family doing Family Math! We accomplished 8 of the 10 ( 2 more than required) and we had a lot of fun.

  • What did you enjoy most about Family Math?

We enjoyed doing the math together like a game, and seeing each others strengths in problem

          solving.

  • What was most challenging about Family Math?

Some of the puzzles like the KenKen were very time consuming and very hard to do. If my Grandma were here she loves those puzzles and could have helped a lot to do it, and to explain the best strategy. We ended up skipping that one, and trying another one.

  • What was one thing you learned in this process?

We learned that sometimes we do need our parents to help us, and my Mom says that sometimes she likes it when I help her solve problems, too. Together we are a good team, that can do more.

  • Was there a time you learned something from a family member?  When they learned something from you?

I learned that my Mom likes math puzzles, and she taught me how to see the relationships with different numbers, like in the Number Juggling Puzzle. She said she thought the way I problem solved the Fabulous Frog Puzzle was really good, and then when we had to write it down and count and recount,  I had to do it like 8 times, that it was amazing how I remembered the order.
